Jesus called his disciples over and said,
“The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection
than all the others put together.
All the others gave what they’ll never miss;
she gave extravagantly what she couldn’t afford—she gave her all.”
Mark 12:44 (Holy Bible; The Message)
Out of surplus, one can give a small portion.
On the other hand, this poor widow gave to God
all that she had to live on, sacrificed out of her scarcity.
all that she had to live on, sacrificed out of her scarcity.
That’s why the Son of Man said that,
she gave generously, what she couldn’t afford to give.
It's proper, that we too do have poverty.
Amidst that, let us remember the true servants of God and the tangible needy.
The Lord observes (recognizes) the intention of our generous mind, and honours (rewards) it.

Amen!
ReplyDeleteThe poor widow gave much offering; she offered her whole livelihood.
The others gave little from their abundance, said Jesus.
Yes! We are in need indeed.
Yet! Let's remember the servants of God and the needy.
God sees the intention of our heart and honors our deed.
God bless!!
🙏Amen. May the lord help us to give generously and joyfully.
