(Today is the Teachers Day. It’s an important event in the diary of every teacher as it bring lots of joy and happy memories. In India, 5th September of every year is being celebrated as the Teacher's Day to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and an outstanding teacher who had a keen interest towards education and its development.)

This is one miracle day where the students will become teachers
and the teachers will act based on the wishes of the students.
On this day students would take the privilege to stop
the teachers from their regular class teaching.

Instead of the lectures, teachers would sing songs,
play funny games, would act and dance, and cut the cake and share it
with their beloved students and many more would happen,
all according to the wishes of their students.

Be it a classroom or the playground, on this day,
it would become a stage for a grand festival.

This is the time where the growing buds would share
their heartfelt greetings, joyful gifts and jubilant performances
to the roots that serve committed for their growth.
The form of gratitude and greetings would vary from place to place.

Many teachers generally teach the students and share knowledge.
Some even reach them with food and care,
walking an extra mile in the life of their students.

It is customary that students would (fall unto) run
towards certain teachers like a water-fall, and (run) fly
away from some of them, like a rushing bird.

The role of teachers is enormous, in making a great impact
on the life of every human being who would be students once.

"Teaching work is not a mere physical labour;
It’s a special call received from God!"

One of my school teachers would use to say like this:
"Teaching work is a Service work (charity);
Submit (dedicate) yourself fully to it."

Though the exhaustion, sufferings, and tragedies of life,
would cut the teachers into pieces, on entering the classroom,
they would gain full strength and full breath to serve the students.
This attitude of them becomes the students
growth booster, glorious boon and gleaming blaze. . . !

The periodic change in the syllabus and exam pattern,
year by year had never changed their commitment
and attitude of serving the student community.

You teachers have read all night without eating or sleeping for us, at times.
You have tirelessly taught us again and again to make us understand the lessons.
You have taken so many innovative incarnations to help us to score good marks in our periodic exams.
You have never hesitated to sit near us even on the ground and floors to train us towards excellence.
You have strived enough to push the back seaters to the world front.
Oh! you sacrificial teachers have done an extensive work
and thereby you have shown your kind heart to us.
Your Heart is the Real Heart, the Brave Heart and the Courteous Heart

Your voices had taught us the A,B,Cs, the numbers and
multiplication tables, the memory poems etc.,
Your loud voice had taught us in the open space under the tree.

Your voices that taught us are the world's pleasant voice (lullabies for a kid)
and the powerful voice (louder as that of a lion's).

The transfer was cancelled due to the overflow love of the students.

Not all teachers receive the "Best Teacher Award”.
But all good teacher who give their best for the students' are always the "Best Teachers”.

There is a modern poem about the tree grown on the school campus.

"The teacher who broke the branch of a tree to
punish a student who
plucked the leaves from a tree"

Although this is a contemporary poem written in a humorous way,
it carries a thought provoking idea in a power packed way.

"The caption (future) of a community is casted (formed) in a classroom"

I am recalling here this meaningful statement made by many scholars.
Teachers holds the key for a great change in the life of students.
They have the immense power to create a change that can make a great impact.

We would have seen a lot of best teachers in ages.
We have learned (received fine skills) from some and
we have earned (received financial support) from some.

Great philosophers like Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato
have revolutionized the world with their thoughts and ideas.
Thoughts for change and revolutionary ideas
had flown from them like an overflowing river.
They had created new histories.
They had been teaching this world for many years with their powerful minds.
Their mesmerizing words and ideas had pulled many towards their ideas.
However, we could see many contradictions and
confusions in their powerful philosophical thoughts.

We would have come across many such teachers in our life
and a few would have attracted us. The One teacher, who have greatly impressed me
has also impressed Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Radhakrishnan.
He had captivated many by His compassionate words and convincing ideas.
Twenty one centuries have gone and still His call is fresh and fiery.
He has given this world a clear teaching which is non-contradictory.

This excellent and incomparable teacher is none other but Jesus Christ.
He has given all the right teachings for this life,
and has shown the way for abundant life,
in His three and half years of public life.

*# Born the son of a carpenter in a poor family in a Central Asian village,
he had no background, did not went to college, did not wrote a book,
did not saw any eye-catching city in his time,
did not crossed two hundred miles from his hometown,
but attracted thousands of people with the words of his mouth.

He came to uproot the divisions in the society
and to level the unevenness in the colour,
creed and status of the people of this world .

He did not clarified (illustrated) history, and did not created (invented) history,
rather He divided the history itself into two. We would know the wheel of life
based on before His arrival (BC) and after His arrival (AD).
We are predicting times based on His birth in this world. #*

People at all levels are accepting His flawless and complete teachings.
He not only taught people to excel in all virtues and in all attributes
but also ‘He lived and showed himself as a role model’ for better understanding.

I greet you all a Happy Teachers Day in the name of
such an excellent and extraordinary teacher Jesus Christ.

Congratulations to all the Teachers who taught and who are still teaching.
