Lord said, “Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Moriah.
Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I’ll point out to you.”
Genesis 22:2 (Holy Bible, The Message (MSG))
Isaac was gifted as a miraculous heir to Abraham when he was 100 years old.
The Lord, who had promised that, "Through this Isaac, the seed of Abraham will be multiplied,"
suddenly commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac himself as a burnt offering,
and Abraham obeys without question.
This was a very tough test for Abraham to choose, "God or God-given?.
In this test Abraham obeyed God out of reverential fear with the fullest cooperation from Isaac.
The test result favoured Isaac and Abraham received the Medal of honour and a generation of blessings.
If we put God in all the test we face, we will get medals in all the test results.
